This is Evie
She is a spayed Female, 7 years old, Housetrained, Lead Trained, good with Children, good with Large Dogs, good with Small Dogs, has Rabies vaccinations, microchipped.Evie is looking for a fur-ever home. We found her over a month ago right across the street from our boarding kennel. She was affectionate from day one! She loves her people and is confident when meeting new ones. She is house broken and hasn't tried to escape or dig. We have been working with her on "body handling" for the past month. She was very guarded about being touched in certain places or having a leash placed over her head when we first found her. She has come a long way as is doing very well. So far Evie has been friendly with the dogs she has been introduced to. We feel she would be okay with children but with ones old enough to know better than to pull on her tail or step on her or grab at her and scare her. We'd love for you to come meet her if you are interested.
Understanding the husky/malamute temperament is a plus with this girl. She is spayed and ready to go! Weighing just 40 pounds, she is a very managable size for any size home. We are requiring an adoption fee and want to be sure this girl will have a great home. She deserves it!

Possible Cons:
Likes to "sing" when alone
Needs work to feel comfortable with being brushed on her tail and back legs (is fine with the rest of her body being brushed!)
We don't know how she is with cats
Doesn't like you to hold or examine her feet
Probably needs to be around children older than 7 or so just to avoid mistakes. She likes everyone but can get scared by being grabbed.
