This is Rocky
He is a neutered Male, 11 years old, Lead Trained, good with Large Dogs, good with Small Dogs, has DHLPP vaccinations.Hey there everyone! My name is Rocky and I’m a gorgeous (if I may say so myself) Husky/Malamute who is about 5 years young. I’m about 65 pounds.
So I had a kind of rough start to life…but I try not to let that get me down. I was kept in a back yard my whole life with little contact from humans or other dogs. When I came to Family Dog, I realized how much fun life can really be!! I have a total fan club here full of humans who are in love with me-it’s pretty great. I get to go for walks, hikes, and even run with our Running Club. I even have a group of volunteers who have been working with me on training and agility. I’ve come so far already in my short time here.
I have so much love to give. I would do best with an owner who has big breed/Northern breed experience. I also need an owner who has calm assertive energy and who can teach me manners. (I’ve never had the chance to be taught manners but I’m eager to learn!) I am SO excited to get out into the world and experience life like I haven’t gotten the chance to in the past.
I currently live with another dog here at the shelter, and do best with more mellow energy dogs. I don't like cats, and I would love to be the center of attention! I also like to talk like a classic Husky/Malamute and will let you know how I’m feeling. Come meet me and stare into my icy blue eyes…people tell me I’m pretty handsome.
