This is Rocky
He is a neutered Male, 8 years old, Housetrained, Lead Trained, has Obedience training, has Rabies vaccinations, has DHLPP vaccinations, microchipped.Rocky comes to us as an owner surrender, sort of. He was left tied up in front of the shelter, chewed through his leash and decided he would take off for a little adventure. Eventually we found him and he was returned here. He is now looking for his forever home.
Rocky is a sweet dog who likes people and can be quite affectionate. However, true to his breed he will have a tendency to wonder if not securely confined. He will have to always be walked on leash. Rocky displays some dominate behavior with other dogs. He is not aggressive but most dogs will not appreciate that. Now that he is neutered some of that behavior may lessen; however, he should not frequent dog parks or interact with dogs he does not know. Any introductions shown be carefully managed.
His adopter should also have some past experience with this breed. Huskies are a great breed but they are not for everyone. We also recommend he go to an adult only household. Rocky is smart and should do well in obedience class. Sign him up for a Family Dog I class and go from there. Training classes are a great way for an adopter and new dog to build a strong bond.
